Case Study: ITVFest
Customer Profile: ITVFest
ITVFest established itself in 2006 with one mission: to change the way the entertainment industry views television production, providing a forum for those who, before now, have had little or no access to television decision makers.
Goal:
In its inaugural year, the festival drew nearly 5,000 industry audience members, and in 2009 ITVFest wanted to provide its audience with an online video experience that exhibited the work submitted to the festival each year. ITVFest Executive Director AJ Tesler was tasked with delivering a high-quality TV-like environment where viewers could watch the festival’s pilots long after the festival was over. They also wanted to better understand their audience in order to evaluate the popularity of submitted content.
The Unicorn Media Solution:
Unicorn Media’s ability to upload and publish content in a timely, efficient manner and the company’s unmatched ability to provide quality playout as well as insight into content consumption and end user behavior was crucial to ITVFest’s selection process.
Says Tesler, “This year we really wanted to provide an online platform that showcases the incredible work submitted to the festival. Unicorn Media gives us the ability to manage our submissions using an extremely intuitive content management system as well as delivering our pilots online in a high quality format.”
Unicorn Media’s asset management system gives ITVFest a host of tools that help the festival manage and distribute their pilots. Allowing ITVFest to set one or many profiles based on frame size, bitrate, codec, or format and displaying the content on a scalable, highly customizable embeddable player further enhances the viewing experience ITVFest now provides at ITVFest.org.
